The first music the earth heard were the sounds of nature; ocean waves breaking on a beach, winds’ song in the tree tops, water’s rush over rocks and falls as it travels to the sea and the birds giving voice.

Man’s music has been with us from the time when the first lullaby was hummed to a sleepy child. The Greek word for music translates as “an art of the muses”.

Music is a wonderful and powerful muses. Down through the ages, men both ordinary and great have given acclaim to the influence of music i.e., “Music hath charms to soothe the savage breast, to soften rocks or bend the knotted oak”, and “with his lute made trees and mountain tops freeze, bow themselves when he did sing’.

Let the unborn child feel the music of its mother’s body, live a life filled with man and nature’s music and when the end of life approaches be comforted by this and the next world’s music.
