The question of the day is; when in our world today do spirits and spirituality intersect? Three recent examples are All Saints Day, Halloween and El Dia de los Muertos, Mexico’s celebration of the Day of the Dead. The next couple months are filled with opportunity to explore our celebration of cultural as well as religious remembrances, should you be so inclined.
Throughout the year, various cultural groups living in Seattle and the Puget Sound area honor ancestors and tradition. However, the approach of the Winter Solstice was a time of questioning and reflection for all our ancestors of the distant and not so distant past.
So, no matter what your particular spiritual persuasion, be kind to yourself and take a moment to contemplate matters other than your day-to-day struggles. Who knows, thinking outside the box may even help find the answers for which you have been searching. Trust me, just check out “what ever floats your boat.”
