HULDA KLAGER LILAC GARDENS…
Wednesday, 04 May 2011 22:18

…located in Woodland, Washington, has extended the Annual Lilac Days until May 14th, as blooming has been delayed due to the cool wet weather. A stop there this last weekend was just a tease, as only a few of these lovely bushes/trees had any full open flowers. However, the promise of the variety of heavenly scents that will soon waft from the gardens makes a return visit a must.
The beauty for the eye to behold, as the rainbow of colors come into full view during the upcoming warm days, makes a trip to the gardens worth taking.
The Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens, a National Historical Site, has Hulda’s restored Victorian farmhouse, water tower, windmill, gardens and other buildings for your pleasure and enjoyment. The gardens are open all year, so, any time is a good time to stop and ponder the life and times of the Lilac Lady. For more information.
Take time to stop and smell the lilacs,
Belva
