FREE THAT DOG!

For your dog, free must mean unleashed, free to run, fetch, sniff other dogs, and maybe even dig a little.

Gone, gone are the spaces, the wide-open spaces, where a dog could roam at will, where dog and owner, together, could commune with each other and nature.

Laws for the community good cover lots of areas, some laws we support and agree with, others curtail our activities more than we like. However, we must live in the present and that includes leash laws.

Do not despair; there are answers for your dog and its desire for freedom without going to eastern Washington or Montana in search of those open-spaces. The Bearded One has found some 35 off leash dog parks in Western Washington. While these dog parks are not like the free, unfettered spaces of yore, hardly anything is as it was.
