When I was a little girl, I had a pocketknife. It was my prize possession. My Dad carried a pocketknife all the time. Back then everybody’s Dad carried a pocketknife—most little boys had a pocket knife. But most girls didn’t. But I did! Mumbley-peg, anyone?

The Bearded One has a knife collection; a dagger, a dirk, an oriental fighting knife, a dragon headed cane sword, a two handed Celtic great/broad sword and a fillet knife, although the fillet knife is actually mine.
