Pictures with Santa!! Starting Saturday, November 12 and every Saturday and Sunday thereafter through December 11, hours 10am—2pm, a professional photographer will be on standby to take pictures of your child with Santa. I still have pictures of grandchildren (who are now old enough to vote) hanging on my hall wall. Saturdays and Sundays starting November 12 through November 27, hours 10am---2pm, a Reindeer handler will be on hand should your child like their picture taken with a real Reindeer, named Jingle.
The Bearded One and I will be stopping by to visit Curley, the camel, Moe, the donkey and Donner and Blitzen, you all know who they are. For the young and old, these delightful animals will brighten your day. Curley likes lying down next to the fence so he does not have to get up to have you pet him or scratch his nose. According to the Swanson's staff, Curley has none of the bad habits that camels are reported to have, (bad press has it that all camels spit). Moe, the little ham, always joins Curley at the fence as soon as there is an audience. The Reindeer spend a lot of time doing lunch. I think they are building up their strength for the work ahead. You and your little ones can visit the animals on site daily until Christmas Eve.
Plan to spend time visiting the Great Ballard Railway as it travels through a distant land in the Yukon. Children of all ages will delight in the miniature Holiday train setup. Every year Swanson’s creates a different storybook scene - come and discover the newly expanded display this year - running every day until Christmas.
The Holiday Spirit comes easily as you stroll through the Swanson’s Nursery. See you there.
