Edmonds has a long history of community events and The Bearded One and I always look forward to their Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. No matter how many times I go to a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, I am reminded of past tree lighting ceremonies. The ones when I was a child going with my parents, then as a young person going with my chums from school. Later, I took my own children to see the wonder of the tree lighting ceremony, to hear the harmonious caroling by friends and neighbors, and then finally the long awaited arrival of Santa with his hearty “HO, HO, HO."

Join with your Edmonds family, friends and neighbors to partake of the cookies and cider as you listen to the Christmas carols. Watch the ever so humble tree transform into a thing of magical beauty. Enjoy young children their eyes wide with excitement wait nervously for the arrival of the Jolly Old Elf himself, SANTA. Later, walk with Santa to the Edmonds Conference Center for more festive activities and photos with Santa.

For more fun Holiday things to do, check out the Monthly Events section of Belva’s List.

Merry, Merry,
Belva & The Bearded One
