Sooo many lights, over half a million at last count, you might be tempted to wear your sun glasses, BLING, BLING, and BLING. Volunteers working with garden employees add to the garden festive displays every year. New this year is “Snap d’Dragon” which joins displays inspired by Northwest gardens and gardens from around the world. The young and young at heart, will all agree these displays are major “WOWspiderexperiences as they view the blossoming flowers, flowing rivers, cascading waterfalls and favorite storybook characters. Charlotte in her web and Willie the Slug are always popular displays.

Do not forget to go inside the Visitor Center, the “Aquarium in Lights” with the pulsing jellyfish and octopus are displays not to be missed. If only Thomas Edison could see what his invention has evolved into, I’m sure he would be amazed and delighted.

For more fun things to do be sure to check out the Monthly Events section of Belva’s List.
