SPORTS/RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

We at Belva’s List consider anything that gets you off the couch and out of the house (other than work, shopping or household chores) is a sport or recreational activity. But as you can guess, there was not room enough on the navigational button for “Sports/Recreational Activities.” Consequently, we opted for “Sports.”

Some of the activities listed here, such as professional and collegiate sporting events, are obviously spectator sports. Some, like rock climbing and walking, are participation sports while others, such as birding, are for both the spectator and the participant. All, however, fit the Belva’s List requirement of getting you up, off the couch and out of the house. No, watching the Olympics on T.V. does not qualify!

I should also mention that some of the activities listed here will also appear on other pages when those events correspond to a specific area listing. For example, the Seahawks will be listed under Seattle/Downtown in the SoDo District as well as under Sports.
