What? You’ve never heard of the Seattle Majestics football team? You don’t know what you’re missing!
The Majestics are undefeated in regular season play two years running. No, that’s not a misprint: 16 & 0.
And get this. The Seattle Majestics are a women’s football team. Most of them never played football in school because it wasn’t allowed. But I am here to tell you, they play football! And I don’t mean “Powder Puff” football; this is “knock-‘em down and drag-‘em out” smash nose football.
They may not fill Seattle Center’s Memorial Stadium quite yet, but their fans love them anyway. And I guarantee, if you take time to see them play, you will be a fan, just like me and everybody else that’s gone to a Majestics game.
Expect no big money players; in fact, these women actually buy their own equipment. And no high-salaried coaches, either; the Majestics’ head man last showed ‘em how in the Pop Warner Leagues. But the Majestics have heart, and they play the game because they love it. This is a great way to spend an afternoon, and it’s kid-friendly.
