Call it soccer or futbol, it’s considered the World’s Game. And Major League Soccer has finally come (again) to Seattle. The Seattle Sounders FC kick off their inaugural season in the MLS with the promise of an exciting attacking style.

There have been Sounder teams around this town for years. Seattle can only hope this current version of the club replicates the same class act of its predecessors:

The soccer season runs from late August through November. Husky Soccer has built a winning tradition over the last decade. In 2000, the men's teams won the Pac-10 championships. The Soccer Stadium is just north of the Husky Stadium and the Husky Ballpark, off Walla Walla road.

The Soccer season runs from mid August to Mid November. You can count on the Redhawk soccer team to make a strong showing anytime they play. Losing is something they do begrudgingly—they usually measure their wins in double digits and their loses in the low single digits. It’s a great program that develops great players.

SPU Falcon Soccer starts in August and ends in November. The Falcons are generally near the top in their conference standings. They have given their cross town rival Seattle U a run for their money and always bring their A-game.

Since 1979, Pacific Lutheran men's soccer teams have had 22 winnings seasons and won nearly 60 percent of their matches. The Lutes have won the Northwest Conference Championship in 1982 - 1983 - 1984 - 1985 - 1986 - 1987 - 1991 – 1992. The Lutes ar proven winners.

The Soccer Field is located on main campus. This natural grass field is home to the men’s and women’s soccer teams. Portable bleachers seat about 200 spectators. The field is south of the softball field and west of the track. Parking is available in the Olson Auditorium parking lot across from the softball field.
