After moving to the to the 380 seat Narrows Theatre in 1995, Tacoma Musical Playhouse has rapidly grown into Tacoma’s premier musical theater company and the largest community theater in the four-state Northwest region. TMP brings six musical productions to the stage each year, which draw theatre goers from as far away as Portland, Spokane, and Vancouver, BC. These TMP mainstage productions are the reason TMP has long been regarded the "Best Entertainment Value" in the South Puget Sound. Past productions include: Lullaby of Broadway, Cabaret, West Side Story, The Music Man, Singin’ in the Rain, The Sound of Music, Damn Yankees and many, many more. Initiated in 2006, the Tacoma Children’s Musical Theater at TMP is fast becoming a favorite option for family entertainment in the South Sound. These fully-produced musicals bring to the stage the most beloved stories of classic children’s literature…and feature many of your favorite TMP mainstage performers.
