Live Girls Theatre is Ballard’s only resident theater and it isn’t easy to find. The theater is downstairs and until you actually get there, you’re doubtful there really is such a place—but there is. This tiny theater is tucked away back in a tiny basement area, and when you look around at the cramped quarters and the mix of folding chairs and salvaged theater seats, you wonder if you should stay. The answer is a definite YES! You see, Live Girls! is dedicated to producing and developing new works by women—some of the best up and coming talent around, and you get a first opportunity to see these works performed. Hey, what’s not to like, you get to see cutting edge work and support a good cause at the same time.
